Little Steve & The Big Beat

Stef Paglia picked up a guitar for the first time when he was just 12 years old. His father introduced him to the blues via guitar virtuoso Stevie Ray Vaughan. He instantly caught the blues fever, that has shaped the artist he is today. He grew up in a Belgian city called Aarschot and after he got his high school degree he applied to study at PXL-Music conservatory in Hasselt (BE). He graduated and became a fulltime musician.

Besides his own project, Stef is part of two other successfull European touring bands. He is a founding member of The BluesBones (winner Belgian Blues Challenge 2016) and recorded 7 albums with them, of wich 3 number one CD’s in a row in the UK Blues Charts. In 2019 he joined Kaz Hawkins (winner of the European Blues Challenge 2017) as a side-man and recorded 2 albums with her: ‘Memories Of’ and ‘Until We Meet Again’. During his career Stef shared stages with top international artists like Laurence Jones, Danny Bryant and The Nimmo Brothers.

In 2017 Stef started his own band “Stef Paglia Trio”. Together with his girlfriend Iris Teunissen, he started writing his own music. This resulted in their debut album ‘Never Forget’ wich was released in 2019 (recorded and produced in Superfly Studio’s in England by Wayne Proctor). This was the start for his solo career! A European tour was planned, but Covid hit the world. During this period Stef & Iris wrote the EP ‘Light & Darkness’. This time he decided to produce it by himself, the band recorded the new songs in summer 2022 in Dunk!studios in Belgium. Released in the beginning of 2023, the songs display a whole new sound! A couple of months after, the EP reached number 3 in the Blues/Rock charts in the USA.
